I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
